Grandstand Information
GENERAL ADMISSION
Offers access to several designated areas largely in the Western section of the track. Many of these areas are elevated offering good views. Some of the very best atmosphere tends to be created from the fans in these areas.
GRANDSTAND A
Ideal for viewing the start of the race and the end of the main straight. Although the grandstand is behind the safety zone and is, therefore, a little further away from the track, on the other hand, you won’t be shielded by the safety fence at all, even if you are in the lower rows. The impression of the formulas rushing towards you is breathtaking! You’ll follow the cars all the way to Turn 3. They’ll even flash into your view for a moment as they pass the winding track around Turn 5.
GRANDSTAND C
Located by the Europcar Corner, and with great views of the Stadium area, this is a fantastic stand to see cars coming through the slow, sweeping turn before accelerating directly towards stand C, then swerving towards the turns and chicane section. An exciting place for possible overtaking, as the Stadium offers a series of challenges for cars coming off the first DRS zone.
Visible action zones: Turns 13, 14
THE MAIN GRANDSTAND (D)
One of very few that is covered to offer protection from the elements. This Grandstand is in the prime location overlooking the grid, pits and start/finish line. This grandstand is covered.
GRANDSTAND E
Located at the end of the Pit Straight, Stand E offers an overall good view of the Main Straight and Seat Corner, down to Wurth Corner. At the end of the second DRS zone, this is the place to be to see possible overtaking action!
Visible action zones: Main Straight, Turn 1
GRANDSTAND F
This is undoubtedly one of the best grandstands for close-up views of overtaking into turn 1 as it stands, well positioned at the apex to the corner. Then follow the action around turn 2 and disappearing around turn 3.
Seats in the upper rows will have no issues seeing over the catch fencing after the point of turn in though the top of the fence does cover the racing line on the approach.
Whatever you see of the cars in the infield section from turn 5 to 7 will really be just a glimpse.
GRANDSTAND G
Stretching around turn 12, 24 block Grandstand G is a mammoth grandstand with some of the best views of the circuit.
Blocks 18 – 24 of the stand have an expansive view of the track from La Caixa to the pitlane entry and the final turn 16, providing ample opportunity to appreciate the racing over a number of varying types of corners and for a generous duration of time. There is a lower likelihood of overtaking, but having such a panoramic view of so much of the circuit, few fans will be disappointed.
GRANDSTAND J
Grandstand J occupies land between the start/finish line and turn one. You will get to see some pit stops and the pit exit is just opposite seats in the right hand side of the stand.
Looking across to the infield section you see the cars exit turn 5, take on the sweeping turn 6 and disappear behind a grandstand.
GRANDSTAND K
Grandstand K is arguably the best option in this group, offering spectators an excellent balance of views—both of the infield section and the opening sequence of corners. As cars come off the main straight, you’ll catch them braking hard into Turn 1. While this corner is somewhat distant, it still provides a good vantage point to witness any overtaking action. From there, watch as the drivers accelerate and weave through Turns 2 and 3.
Where Grandstand K truly shines, however, is in its view of the infield. With no major obstructions, you get a clear line of sight from the exit of Turn 5 all the way to the approach of Turn 9.
GRANDSTAND L
Grandstand L is truly one of a kind, offering fans sweeping views of a significant portion of the Circuit de Catalunya. Nestled on the inside of the track, it’s uniquely positioned in the narrow space between the entry to Turn 3 and Turn 5.
From here, spectators enjoy an extended view up the main straight—almost all the way to the starting lights. The infield view is even more impressive, covering the entire stretch from Turn 4 through to the entry of Turn 7. And for those lucky enough to be seated in the back row, there’s an added bonus: a rear-facing view that captures most of Turn 3.
GRANDSTAND M
The covered Grandstand M is located on the outside of the Seat Hairpin corner entry. From the Repsol Corner the cars accelerate downhill on a short straight up to about 240km/h in 5th gear, before breaking down to 90km/h for the 2nd gear Seat Hairpin. This hairpin, will see rapid deceleration, and provides definite overtaking opportunities under hard braking. This grandstand brings you very close to the racing cars and also offers you some main straight sections and Elf Corner views.
GRANDSTAND N
If you want to see the phenomenal sight of an F1 car take on a corner at speed then look no further than Grandstand N. From seats here you’ll see the cars exit turn 8, then a short time later flick right into the sweeping turn 9
This is not an overtaking spot but turn 9 is a high speed, exciting corner and a crucial corner to get right before entering the long back straight.

Local Information & Tips
Four Things to Do When You're Not Watching F1
VISIT THE SAGRADA FAMILIA
Barcelona’s most famous landmark is a cathedral like no other – a surreal, towering creation by architect Antoni Gaudí that’s still being built more than a century later. Its intricate detail and breathtaking scale make it feel more like a fantasy film set than a place of worship. Whether you admire it from outside or head in for a tour, it’s a sight that lingers long after you leave.
STROLL ALONG LAS RAMBLAS
This bustling boulevard is the beating heart of Barcelona, lined with cafés, market stalls, and street performers at every turn. It’s a brilliant spot to soak up the city’s atmosphere and grab a plate of tapas between shopping and sightseeing. Just keep your wits about you – the pickpockets here are as quick as a pit stop crew.
RELAX AT BARCELONETA BEACH
After the roar of engines, swap grandstands for golden sands at Barcelona’s best-known beach. It’s ideal for a swim, a sunbathe, or simply a lazy afternoon with a cold drink in hand. With beach bars and seafood restaurants nearby, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a race day.
EXPLORE PARK GUELL
Colourful mosaics, whimsical sculptures, and sweeping views of the city make this park one of Barcelona’s most enchanting spots. Designed by Gaudí, it’s part art gallery, part garden, and part fairytale landscape. A wander here offers a completely different kind of spectacle – slower, but every bit as captivating as the circuit.
Weather and Climate
June in Barcelona offers warm Mediterranean weather, with average daytime highs around 27°C and evenings cooling to a comfortable 18°C. Sunshine dominates, but sudden showers occasionally spice things up – both on track and off. Lightweight clothing, sun cream, and a rain poncho will cover all bases.
Parking Arrangements
Parking around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is plentiful but comes with the kind of queues that make the pit lane look speedy. Shuttle services from Barcelona city centre are reliable, though race day crowds mean a little patience goes a long way. Many fans opt for the train to Montmeló station – affordable, straightforward, and possibly faster than the cars in traffic.

A Fiesta of Formula One
The Spanish Grand Prix is where Mediterranean charm collides head-on with motorsport glory. Held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, this is a race that always keeps drivers and fans guessing, thanks to tricky corners, unpredictable weather, and a home crowd so passionate you’d think every lap was a national holiday. With grandstands echoing with cheers, and tapas waiting in the city afterwards, it’s a festival of speed with a Spanish twist.
But don’t be fooled into thinking it’s only about the racing. Barcelona is one of Europe’s most vibrant cities – where modernist architecture, buzzing nightlife, and beachside relaxation all come together. One minute you’re watching cars tear down the main straight, the next you’re sipping sangria overlooking the Mediterranean. If there’s ever a Grand Prix that promises as much culture as it does competition, this is it.
