MAIN STAND
The Main Stand is Anfield’s largest and most modern section, offering impressive facilities and unrivalled views of the pitch. It combines premium seating, hospitality lounges, and passionate fans, making it both comfortable and electric on a matchday. Its towering structure dominates the skyline around Anfield, a symbol of the club’s growth and ambition. Inside, it balances luxury with tradition, ensuring even the most corporate seats feel part of Liverpool’s footballing heartbeat.
THE KOP
Perhaps the most famous stand in world football, The Kop is where Liverpool’s heart and soul comes alive on matchday. Thousands of fans pack in, waving scarves and singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” in unison, creating an atmosphere that is as spine-tingling as it is iconic. It’s the stand where legendary European nights have been defined, turning the tide of games with sheer noise and belief. To sit here is to experience football in its purest and most emotional form.
ANFIELD ROAD END
Located opposite The Kop, this stand is home to a mix of home supporters and travelling fans. With its fresh redevelopment, it now offers even more capacity, providing an excellent vantage point for goalmouth action. It often carries the buzz of away chants clashing with the Liverpool faithful, adding tension and excitement to big fixtures. For many neutrals, it’s the perfect place to soak in the Anfield experience from a balanced perspective.
SIR KENNY DAGLISH STAND
Renamed in honour of Liverpool’s legendary number 7, this stand is a tribute to a club hero. It’s a blend of family seating and long-standing supporters, with a proud sense of heritage echoing from every row. Local Information & Tips
Parking Arrangements
Liverpool offers a range of parking options for football fans, though it’s wise to plan ahead. Anfield and Goodison both sit within residential areas, meaning official stadium car parks and pre-booked spaces tend to fill quickly. Park-and-ride services, multi-storey car parks in the city centre, and matchday shuttle buses provide smoother alternatives for visitors, while some nearby schools and businesses also open their lots for fans on matchdays. Arriving early not only secures a space but also gives you time to enjoy the atmosphere before kick-off.
Weather and Climate
Liverpool’s climate is typically mild and maritime, thanks to its position on the north-west coast of England. Winters are cool, with temperatures averaging around 5°C, often accompanied by drizzly rain and the occasional blustery wind rolling in from the Mersey. Summers are pleasant but rarely hot, averaging 18–20°C, with fresh sea breezes keeping things comfortable. Rainfall is frequent throughout the year, so packing a jacket or umbrella is always a wise move when heading to a match.
Four Things to Do Beyond Football
ALBERT DOCK
This historic waterfront is one of Liverpool’s crown jewels and a UNESCO World Heritage site, brimming with things to see and do. It’s a hub of culture, shopping, and dining, offering a perfect blend of history and modern vibrancy, with a scenic backdrop of the River Mersey.

LIVERPOOL ONE
This sprawling shopping and leisure complex sits in the heart of the city and offers something for everyone. From luxury brands and high-street favourites to cosy cafés and rooftop bars, it’s a place to indulge in a little retail therapy before or after the match. Beyond shopping, you’ll find a cinema, family-friendly activities, and regular seasonal events, making it a lively destination that combines relaxation and entertainment in equal measure.
FERRY ACROSS THE MERSEY
No trip to Liverpool is complete without this iconic boat ride, immortalised in song. The ferry provides a unique perspective of the city’s famous skyline, with views of the Three Graces, modern architecture, and the historic docks. Onboard, you’ll learn more about the city’s maritime history while enjoying the fresh sea air. It’s a short but memorable excursion that captures Liverpool’s enduring connection with the River Mersey and offers a welcome pause from the fast pace of football.

Home of the Reds
Few cities live and breathe football quite like Liverpool. Matchdays here are electric, filled with chants that roll through the streets, flags waving proudly, and the unmistakable buzz of anticipation. Whether you’re heading to Anfield, home of Liverpool FC, or across Stanley Park to Goodison Park, where Everton take to the pitch, you’ll find a city united in its love for the game, even when divided by rivalry. Home events are more than matches; they’re rituals steeped in tradition, with fans pouring in from every corner of the globe to witness the roar of the Kop or the Toffees’ passionate chorus.
Football in Liverpool is not simply a sport—it’s a heartbeat. Local pubs and family homes alike transform into arenas of discussion, debate, and celebration.
