In fact, it’s one of only two grandstands in Formula 1 that cars actually drive through — the other being Mexico’s iconic Foro Sol. This rare vantage point, combined with its scale and atmosphere, makes the Marina Bay Grandstand one of the most sought-after spots for fans seeking a unique and unforgettable race experience.

In October, Singapore is hot and humid, with average daytime temperatures around 31°C (88°F) and nighttime lows near 24°C (75°F). It is one of the wetter months, with a high chance of rain and storms due to the northeast monsoon season, so you should expect rain and pack accordingly.
TRANSPORT OVERVIEW | How do I get there?
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
MRT: This is the most efficient way to get to the circuit.
Extended hours: The MRT runs later than usual during race weekend, often past 1:00 AM.
Stations: Key stations near the circuit include Raffles Place, City Hall, Nicoll Highway, Bayfront, and Esplanade. Check the official map to find the best station for your specific gate.
Pricing: Purchase a Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited travel over the weekend, or use an EZ-Link card for pay-as-you-go fares.
Buses: Services are increased during the event, and special shuttle routes may be available, especially to and from MRT stations. Note that many regular bus services are subject to major diversions during the race weekend.
OTHER OPTIONS
Taxis and rideshares: These are available but can be heavily affected by road closures and increased demand, making them less reliable and potentially expensive. You may need to use the Grab app or other local taxi apps like CDG Zig.
Walking: This is a convenient option if you are staying close to the circuit, but you should allow extra time and be prepared for the heat and humidity.
TIPS FOR RACE WEEKEND
Plan ahead: Before you go, check your ticket for the correct gate and use the official Singapore Grand Prix map to find the nearest public transport station.
Allow extra time: Expect significant congestion and plan for delays when traveling to and from the circuit, especially after the race has finished.
Stay hydrated: Bring a refillable water bottle and take advantage of water stations around the circuit.
Pack accordingly: Bring light, breathable clothing and a poncho for sudden tropical rain showers.
