Grandstand Information
MARINA GRANDSTAND
MARINA GRANDSTAND
- Located at the flowing sequence of Turns 6, 7, and 8
- Offers a close view of one of the most technical and visually striking sections of the circuit
- Showcases the grip and downforce of F1 cars through a medium- to high-speed complex
- Not a major overtaking zone, making it an underrated viewing spot
- Considered a hidden gem among Miami Grand Prix seating areas
-Strong value for money
Situated at the flowing, multi-apex sequence of Turns 6, 7, and 8, the Marina Grandstands offer a front-row seat to one of the most technical and visually striking sections of the Miami Grand Prix circuit. This is where you truly get a sense of just how much grip and downforce a Formula 1 car generates as it carves through this medium- to high-speed complex with surgical precision.
While it’s not a typical overtaking zone—something that causes many fans to overlook it—that’s part of what makes this grandstand such a hidden gem. It may not be one of Miami’s headline seating areas, but it also doesn’t carry the premium price tag. For fans with a midrange budget looking for value without sacrificing atmosphere, the Marina Grandstand is a smart pick.
NORTH BEACH GRANDSTAND
NORTH BEACH GRANDSTAND
- Beach club–themed area located nearly 10 miles from the actual coast
- Features a mini stadium-style setup that becomes a high-energy party zone on race weekend
-Seats place you in Miami’s most energetic crowd and atmosphere
- Offers great track views, especially the prime overtaking zone at Turn 11
- Seating is bleacher-style with metal benches
- Grandstand wraps around Turn 12 in a sweeping arc
Nothing captures the unique spirit of the Miami Grand Prix quite like a beach club built in the middle of a suburb—despite being nearly 10 miles from the actual coast.
Welcome to the Beach Area, home to a mini stadium-style setup that transforms into party central during race weekend. Snagging seats in one of these grandstands means joining Miami’s most energetic crowd and soaking up the electric atmosphere that only this city can deliver.
And it’s not just about the vibes—the track views here are fantastic too. After the chaos of Turn 1, the heavy braking zone into Turn 11 is the circuit’s prime overtaking spot. It’s the very corner where George Russell famously outbraked Lewis Hamilton during the 2022 Miami Grand Prix.
That said, some fans might find these grandstands a bit less comfortable. Unlike other sections, seating here is bleacher-style—metal benches rather than individual plastic seats.
The North Beach Grandstand, which wraps around Turn 12 in a sweeping arc, is especially popular but varies in view depending on your seat location. For the best chance of catching overtakes, aim for spots closer to Turn 11.
SOUTH BEACH GRANDSTAND
SOUTH BEACH GRANDSTAND
- Compact, stadium-style Beach Area becomes the weekend’s party epicentre
- Seats place you in the most energetic crowd with a strong Miami atmosphere
- Great views of Turn 11, the circuit’s busiest overtaking zone
- Seating is bleacher-style benches
- South Beach Grandstand is located at the end of the long back straight
- Cars hit over 330 km/h before heavy braking into Turn 11
- Ideal spot for witnessing raw speed and intense deceleration
Welcome to the Beach Area, where a compact, stadium-style layout becomes the epicentre of the party all weekend long. Grab a seat in one of these grandstands and you’ll be right in the middle of the most high-energy crowd at the track, soaking up the unbeatable Miami atmosphere.
But it’s not just about the party—the views are impressive, too. Just beyond the madness of Turn 1 lies Turn 11, the circuit’s most action-packed overtaking zone. It’s the very spot where George Russell pulled off a brilliant move on Lewis Hamilton at the 2022 Miami GP.
Comfort-wise, there’s a trade-off. Seating in this section comes in the form of bleacher-style benches—no individual seats like in other grandstands—so be prepared for a slightly less plush experience.
The South Beach Grandstand sits right at the end of the long back straight, where cars rocket in at over 330 km/h before slamming the brakes into Turn 11. If you’re after raw F1 performance and heart-pounding deceleration, this is the place to be—blink and you’ll miss it, but say “Piña colada” and you’ll catch the whole thing.
TURN 1 GRANDSTAND
TURN 1 GRANDSTAND
-Offers prime views of the high-stakes action into the opening corner
- Overtakes and wheel-to-wheel battles begin immediately at lights out
- Located at the end of the main straight with a tight braking zone ideal for passing
- Views include the pit lane exit for key strategic moments
- Among the most popular grandstands at the Miami Grand Prix
- Turn 1 North Grandstand offers a sweeping view up the straight
- Includes sightlines of pit garages and starting lights
The Turn 1 grandstands are the ultimate spot to witness the high-stakes drama into the opening corner. The action kicks off right from lights out, and it doesn’t let up after the thrilling first lap. Positioned just after the long main straight, this tight braking zone is a natural overtaking hotspot—consistently delivering some of the race’s most exciting wheel-to-wheel battles. Adding to the appeal, spectators here can also catch the pit lane exit, giving them a front-row seat to the high-pressure moments when race strategies unfold and positions are won or lost in the blink of an eye.
These two grandstands are among the most sought-after in Miami, and it’s easy to see why. If you’re torn between them, it’s worth noting that while both offer unique perspectives, each comes with its own advantages.
From the Turn 1 North Grandstand, looking right gives you a sweeping view up the straight—including the pit garages and starting lights. The view is slightly more distant, so this alone might not justify choosing it over its eastern neighbour—but there’s a trade-off. The extended line of sight means you’ll catch every second of an overtake as it develops, rather than just the end of the move.
MAIN GRANDSTAND
MAIN GRANDSTAND
- Located directly opposite the pit and paddock complex
- Framed by the Hard Rock Stadium
- Offers views into team garages and mechanics at work
- Chance to spot celebrities
- Ideal spot for race build-up and final grid preparations
- Excellent view of pit stops and their strategic impact
- Large screens provide full race coverage
Directly opposite the pit and paddock complex—and framed by the towering Hard Rock Stadium—is Miami’s Start/Finish Grandstand. As the main grandstand of the circuit, it’s a top choice for fans who want to be at the heart of the weekend’s key moments and catch behind-the-scenes glimpses of the action. From these prime seats, you’ll be able to peek into team garages, watch mechanics at work, and maybe even spot a celebrity or two. Come Sunday, there’s no better vantage point to soak up the electric atmosphere of the race build-up, as cars line up and teams make their final preparations on the grid.
Once the race begins, you’ll have a front-row seat to the rapid-fire choreography of pit stops—some of which could play a crucial role in the final outcome. This is where the drama unfolds before and after the action. On Saturday (or Friday, during Sprint weekends), the top three qualifiers are interviewed right in front of the grandstand. After the race, the first three finishers also stop here for post-race interviews live from parc fermé. However, if you’re hoping to catch the podium celebrations, keep in mind that Miami does things differently—the trophy ceremony takes place at a dedicated podium on the south side of the Hard Rock Stadium, out of sight from this area.
While the Start/Finish Grandstand offers unparalleled access to key moments and an immersive race-day atmosphere, it’s not the best place for wheel-to-wheel racing. Overtakes are rare here, though large video screens ensure you won’t miss any of the on-track action happening elsewhere. Still, for fans who want to experience the full spectacle of Formula 1—the noise, the nerves, the precision—up close, this is as close to the heart of the operation as you can get.

Local Information & Tips
Four Things to Do When You're Not Watching F1
EXPLORE SOUTH BEACH
Walk along the iconic Art Deco District, lined with pastel buildings and neon signs. Relax on the white-sand beach, swim in crystal-clear water, or grab a bite at one of the many beachfront cafés and bars on Ocean Drive. It’s the perfect mix of sun, culture, and people-watching.
VISIT WYNWOOD WALLS
Dive into Miami’s creative side at Wynwood Walls, an open-air museum filled with massive murals by world-renowned artists. Wander through the surrounding neighborhood for boutique shops, craft breweries, and some of Miami’s most popular restaurants. It’s a great spot for photos and exploring at your own pace.
TAKE A BOAT TOUR OF BISCAYNE BAY
Hop on a sightseeing cruise to view Miami’s skyline, the Venetian Islands, and the lavish homes on Millionaire’s Row. For something more adventurous, you can rent jet skis or book a speedboat tour. The warm May weather makes it an ideal time to get out on the water.
SHOP & DINE AT BRICKELL CITY CENTRE
Spend a few hours exploring this modern shopping and dining hub in the heart of Brickell. Browse luxury brands, enjoy rooftop cocktails, or grab a meal at one of the many restaurants ranging from upscale to casual. It’s a stylish escape from the heat and a great place to unwind between race sessions.
Weather and Climate
In May, the weather in Miami is warm and tropical, marking the beginning of the wet season. You can expect high heat and humidity, with plenty of sunshine interspersed with frequent, but usually short-lived, afternoon rain showers.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT OVERVIEW
For a U.S. city, Miami boasts better-than-average public transport—but it’s far from comprehensive. Navigating the city without a car is doable, but you’ll likely need to combine multiple modes of transportation.
Metrorail and Tri-Rail are useful for longer distances and getting to and from the airport, while the Metromover and trolleys offer free and easy transport within certain neighborhoods like Downtown, Brickell, and Miami Gardens. However, moving between districts often requires a taxi, Uber, or Lyft to bridge the gaps.
Brightline: Fast & Convenient Rail
The Brightline high-speed train connects Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami, and is a smart choice for racegoers without a car—particularly those staying near Downtown or in nearby cities.
- Aventura Station, just over 6 miles from the circuit, includes free shuttle service to and from the Grand Prix.
- Miami Central Station connects directly to other public transit systems and even offers airport transfers.
Look for tickets marked “Hard Rock Connect” to ensure shuttle availability.
Shuttle Info:
To the circuit:
Shuttles depart ~10 mins after train arrival
From the circuit:
Shuttles leave ~1 hour before train departure

Metrorail & Tri-Rail
Miami’s elevated train system runs from 5 AM to midnight and connects major neighborhoods like Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, and South Miami, as well as the airport.
There are no direct Metrorail stations near the circuit, but you can transfer to the Tri-Rail if you’re headed north.
Tri-Rail:
This commuter line serves West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami—ideal for budget travelers heading to the race.
Stop at Golden Glades Station, the closest to the circuit
From there, walk to Lot 95 and catch a free shuttle to the track
Transfers are easy from Metrorail (Green Line) or Miami Airport Station
Metromover: See the City for Free
The Metromover is a free monorail system with loops through Downtown Miami and Brickell, great for sightseeing and getting around without spending a dime. It can get crowded during rush hour but is especially handy for tourists staying downtown.
Miami Trolleys
Miami’s brightly colored hybrid-electric trolleys are another free and fun way to explore areas like Wynwood, Downtown, Brickell, and the Design District.
In Miami Gardens, three trolley routes pass near the Grand Prix circuit, but most visitors will find the rideshare lots and shuttles more convenient for race day.
While Miami doesn’t offer seamless, city-wide transit coverage, a combination of rail, shuttle, trolley, and rideshare options can get you to the Grand Prix without a car. Plan ahead, book Brightline tickets early if using them, and be prepared for some walking and possible wait times—especially after Sunday’s race.
With the right strategy, you’ll enjoy a smooth, car-free Miami GP experience.
