Grandstand Information
GENERAL ENTRY
The General Admission areas are based on a natural hillside and focused around the second half of the track.
The natural amphitheatre of the Hungaroring offers several excellent elevated spots for spectators. Even if you have grandstand or hospitality access for the weekend, we still suggest taking a walk to explore some of the General Admission areas around the circuit. There are plenty of raised sections with impressive panoramic views, particularly near Turn 10 and Turn 14.
CHICANE GRANDSTANDS
The Chicane grandstands, positioned around the technical Turns 6 and 7 of the Hungaroring, offer fantastic views of one of the circuit’s most demanding sections, where rapid changes in direction highlight driver skill and car control.
Chicane 1 provides a quieter viewing experience from a unique position opposite most fan zones, giving spectators a close-up look at the action. Chicane 2, located just next to it, offers a dynamic angle on the same section, making it a favourite for those wanting a slightly broader perspective. Chicane 3, the highest of the three, delivers a sweeping, elevated view of this complex part of the track — ideal for fans looking to take in the full flow of the corner sequence.
FAN GRANDSTANDS
The Fan Grandstand is ideally positioned alongside the short straight between Turns 11 and 12, offering an exciting vantage point where fans can experience the thrill of F1 cars accelerating out of Turn 11 before diving into the tight, technical right-hander at Turn 12. This section of the circuit combines raw speed with precise braking, making it a brilliant spot to appreciate both the power of the cars and the skill of the drivers.
From this grandstand, spectators enjoy an unobstructed view of the action, along with the added benefit of a large trackside TV screen to keep up with the rest of the race. It’s a lively and engaging area that provides a great balance of on-track excitement and atmosphere.
PIT EXIT GRANDSTAND
Positioned close to the high-action Turn 1, the Pit Exit 1 and 2 Grandstands are among the most sought-after viewing areas at the Hungaroring. While overtaking is rare on this tight and technical circuit, Turn 1 stands out as a key opportunity for bold manoeuvres and dramatic race moments. These grandstands put fans right at the heart of the action, making them an excellent choice for those wanting to witness some of the most exciting parts of the race.
HUNGARORING GRANDSTAND
The Hungaroring Grandstand, formerly known as Super Gold, is the only covered seating area at the circuit, offering protection from both sun and rain—making it a dependable choice whatever the weather. Ideally located next to the F1 Fanzone and main food and drink concessions, it allows fans to enjoy the vibrant race weekend atmosphere with easy access to key amenities.
Ahead of the 2025 season, the grandstand underwent a complete refurbishment, bringing upgraded seating and improved sightlines for an even better viewing experience. With clear views of the action and a convenient location, it remains one of the most popular spots at the circuit.

Local Information & Tips
Four Things to Do When You're Not Watching F1
RELAX IN A THERMAL BATH
Budapest is famous for its thermal baths, where centuries-old tradition meets modern wellness. From the grand Gellért Baths to the outdoor Széchenyi pools, it’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of engine noise. Soak, swim, and maybe even join the locals playing chess in the water.
WALK ACROSS THE CHAIN BRIDGE
This iconic bridge links Buda and Pest across the River Danube, offering stunning city views. By day it’s a pleasant stroll, but by night when the lights reflect off the water, it’s pure magic. It’s one of those landmarks you can’t leave Budapest without seeing.
VISIT BUDA CASTLE
Perched high above the city, Buda Castle combines history, architecture, and panoramic views. Inside you’ll find museums and galleries, while outside it’s a great place to wander cobbled streets and courtyards. It’s as regal an experience as the racing is relentless.
ENJOY THE RUIN BARS
Budapest’s famous ruin pubs are quirky bars set inside crumbling old buildings, decorated with everything from fairy lights to mismatched furniture. They’re lively, atmospheric, and unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere in Europe. Perfect for toasting a race day with a cold Hungarian beer.
Weather and Climate
August in Hungary means serious summer heat, with average highs around 30°C and little relief until evening. Rain is rare, but when it arrives it tends to be sudden and dramatic. Sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water are as essential as your race ticket.
Parking Arrangements
Parking at the Hungaroring is possible but limited, with traffic jams almost as famous as the race itself. Shuttle buses and trains from Budapest are popular and usually quicker than driving on race day. Many fans opt to stay in the city and use public transport – cheap, frequent, and far less stressful.

The Summer Showdown
The Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring is one of Formula One’s trickiest challenges. With tight, twisting corners and few overtaking opportunities, it’s often compared to “Monaco without the walls” – a true test of driver skill and strategy. Add in the blazing summer sun and packed grandstands, and you’ve got a race weekend that’s as intense off the track as it is on it.
But it’s not all about tyre management and pit stop gambles. The circuit sits just outside Budapest, one of Europe’s most vibrant and beautiful capitals. With its thermal baths, grand architecture, buzzing nightlife, and riverside charm, the city turns a race weekend into a full-blown holiday. Few destinations mix racing heat and cultural cool quite like Hungary.
